Rinny's motivations during her second route

Hey all, I wrote this up to explain Rinny's motivations for a fan that wasn't happy with her during her second route. Figured it might be good to share with everyone.

Obviously huge spoiler warnings! Make sure you've completed Rinny's second route before reading!

---

Rinny is a succubus, so she is loyal to her queen. Therefore, whatever the queen wants, she has a duty to uphold. She also believes in much of the same things; she's a succubus, after all. The succubus milking prison is framed as being a bad place, but in the minds of the succubi, it's actually a reward for people that the queen favors. What happens to the people trapped in there is something that they consider to be the perfect happiness for them.

With that in mind, the queen allowed Rinny to be a jailer on the condition that she persuades the protagonist to stay. Most importantly, Rinny isn't a true succubus, and is technically unqualified to be here otherwise. Rinny also believes that this place is paradise for both her and the protagonist.

However, she does understand that the protagonist might not want this. Which is why she initially warned them about meeting the queen, and why she agrees to help them escape, even though she thinks that is a mistake.

From there until the fight with the queen, Rinny is put under considerable amounts of stress. She's been called out and humiliated for not being a true succubus (and therefore unworthy of being a jailer.) She's helping the protagonist escape despite believing they should stay and be happy. She's also disobeying the queen as well by helping the protagonist escape, when her job as jailer is supposed to be keeping the protagonist there. And now she has to face the queen's overwhelming power while still not knowing how she's meant to become a true succubus. She's uncertain whether she's doing the right thing, but she continues only because that's what the protagonist wants.

Eventually, she does become a true succubus, and becomes much more confident in herself. With this new confidence, she comes to trust her judgment that the protagonist is making a mistake and throwing away their happiness by trying to escape. That's why she then actively tried to prevent the protagonist from escaping by any means necessary.

> Rinny was captured by Edith, and she did not like it there - why does she not understand that her friend can feel the same?

It probably isn't clear, since this part was written many years ago, but the implication is that Edith tortures Rinny for her own sadistic pleasure, and doesn't necessarily take her needs into account. One big thing is that she denies Rinny orgasms and just keeps her on edge for hours, just for her amusement.

Whereas the succubus milking prison is catered to its prisoners' needs, and the 'torture' is really a front to pleasure them. That's the difference between the two. Edith is just making her victims suffer, whereas the prison is actually about fulfilling its inmates' sexual desires.

It's also arguable that the succubi/incubi view their duties as being the ones to 'serve', aka be the dommes (hence why prisoners in the milking prison don't get to be dommes.) So in their minds, it might not be right for them to be on the receiving ends.

First, I'll take this opportunity to ask you about which file is responsible for displaying coordinates in the desert (with a compass, of course). In my latest translation, these coordinates are not shown for some reason (and in the translation of version 68.1, everything was fine). I will not fix this error now, but when the new version of the game will be published in March, I would like to update the translation and fix this defect at the same time.

As for Edith. Yes, she deprives Rinny of the ability to orgasm. To be more precise, she ultimately gives Rinny this ability in exchange for the protagonist being deprived of orgasms.

In the succubus prison, orgasm deprivation torture is also used, but not in such a harsh form as with Edith. In general, on the contrary, they literally drown the prisoner in orgasms. Nevertheless, the result is the same as with Edith: the prisoner literally goes crazy, completely loses his will and ultimately his personality. That is, what would have happened to Rinny in captivity in the Manor, she considers it possible to do to another person - drive him crazy, deprive him of will, freedom and ultimately of his very personality. (the words "he", "him" are here for simplicity, of course).

Yes, perhaps succubi by their nature can consider this happiness for people. But still, Rinni is more humanized in the game than the other succubi, and that's why I was upset when it turned out that she was capable of this.
