Try Doing Fawn's thing first, she has a pretty long Story, you will need to finish Cassie's quest though.
To get through the giant plant, you need to talk to the fairy queen and ask her about the giant plant. She should tell you she can tell you how to get through but in return you need to give her a gift like no other. found out cheese is one of the options to get this info. You can upgrade the side room for $10,000 if you talk to the Hardware store in New Ark. You should be able to get bulls too if you've got 6 cowgirls (I think that's what triggers getting the bulls, anyway)

Have you Visited the Tall Vampire Lady under the Manor? Or Edith, for short.
Ask Pixie, about her and she will give you "Do what you want" ticket. Go to the Basement, and Bam.
